Dave joined the police force in 1969 and in 2001 after 31 years retired from what is now known as the Halton Regional Police Service. In 1991 Dave and his wife Cindy moved their family to Wasaga Beach were Dave became active in coaching minor hockey, minor baseball and cheering from the sidelines during other sporting events.
